OUR Parts are cast from a high chrome alloy. The chief characteristic

of this

alloy is its

resistance to abrasive wear. As you know, the friction caused by

dragging

tillage tools

through the ground at the speeds now possible with high-powered

tractors

causes the

parts to become very hot--and to wear very fast. Chrome alloy has a

built-in

ability to

withstand red heat, thus extending the life of tillage tools far beyond

that of

even

hardfaced parts. It is the equivalent of having the parts made of solid

hardfacing.

Repeated tests have shown that when you multiply the price of a

standard

hardfaced part

by the number of times our part outwore it, then divide the price of the

part,

the standard

ones cost a little over eight times as much as ours.
